The JC-SX12 handheld XRF rare earth analyzer from Laizhou Jincheng Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. is a portable energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence instrument developed for permanent magnet manufacturers and magnetic material recycling companies. It performs rapid, non-destructive composition screening of neodymium-iron-boron raw materials, finished magnets, intermediate products, and recycled magnetic materials.

By providing qualitative and quantitative results within seconds, the analyzer supports incoming inspection, production monitoring, finished-product screening, and field-based material sorting without chemical digestion or destructive sample preparation.

Permanent magnet production requires timely control of key rare earth elements such as neodymium and praseodymium. Traditional laboratory testing may require sample transportation, preparation, and waiting time, while valuable materials may need to remain intact during inspection. Hardware for Rare Earth Detection

The 4 W, 50 kV micro X-ray tube, up to 100 μA tube current, high-performance SDD detector, digital multichannel technology, and low-noise electronics are configured to capture rare earth fluorescence signals. Six automatically selectable filters help optimize excitation and detection for different permanent magnet samples.

Element Library for Magnetic Materials

The standard library covers Nd, La, Ce, Y, Gd, Dy, Sm, Tb, and other key elements used in permanent magnet composition testing. Laizhou Jincheng can adjust the element configuration within technical feasibility according to specific inspection requirements.

Simple Operation and Maintenance

Touchscreen control and flexible trigger modes support different plant workflows. Automatic energy calibration, verification, and self-diagnostics check the instrument, software, and battery status while generating maintenance logs.

Typical use: incoming inspection of NdFeB raw materials, process and finished-product screening, recycled magnetic material sorting, and laboratory pre-screening to prioritize samples for further analysis.

JC-SX12 is intended for rapid screening, incoming checks, and process monitoring. For legally certified or contract-settlement results, confirmatory laboratory methods should be used. Surface condition, sample uniformity, and concentration can affect results; representative samples and periodic reference-material verification are recommended. Operation must be performed by trained personnel in accordance with applicable radiation-safety requirements.

Test methods
