JC-SK1 Handheld XRF Ore Analyzer for Field Screening

The JC-SK1 handheld XRF ore analyzer from Laizhou Jincheng Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. is an energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) instrument designed for rapid, on-site multi-element screening. It extends elemental analysis from the laboratory to mining areas, geological sampling points, beneficiation plants, metallurgy facilities and material receiving locations.

Using a high-power miniature X-ray tube and detector, the analyzer supports preliminary identification and quantitative analysis of elements in ores, rocks, concentrates, tailings, slag, soil, powders and other materials. It is intended to support field decisions and laboratory sample prioritization rather than replace all laboratory testing.

  • Field multi-element testing: Standard configurations support more than 30 elements, subject to detector, calibration package and sample matrix.
  • Fast sample screening: Helps compare batches, sampling points and material streams before detailed laboratory analysis.
  • Portable operation: A handheld structure, rechargeable batteries and protective carrying case support mobile inspection work.

Automation for More Consistent On-Site Measurements

Field testing often involves frequent movement, changing sample conditions and limited access to maintenance resources. JC-SK1 combines automatic setup functions, image recording and system diagnostics to simplify routine operation while helping users maintain traceable testing records.

Automatic Calibration

Automatic energy calibration and verification reduce part of the manual preparation required between multiple measurement locations. Results still depend on sample uniformity, moisture, particle size, surface condition, measurement time and calibration method.

Automatic Filter Switching

Eight automatically selectable filters help adapt measurement conditions to different target elements, mineral samples and concentration ranges. Standard operation is the ore analysis mode, with soil, alloy or customized modes available according to requirements.

Diagnostics and Traceability

Hardware, software, network and battery diagnostics generate logs for preliminary troubleshooting and service communication. The built-in HD camera records the test area, mineral vein or sample surface to connect images with measurement records.

Applications, Configuration and Practical Value

JC-SK1 is suitable for mining companies, geological exploration teams, beneficiation and metallurgical plants, environmental monitoring organizations, universities, research institutions and mineral inspection teams. Typical uses include ore grade screening, exploration sampling, feed and concentrate comparison, tailings and slag evaluation, process fluctuation identification, soil screening and laboratory sample selection.

  • Configuration matching: Select the detector, application mode and calibration method according to target elements, sample matrix, concentration range and required testing purpose.
  • Sample control: Powder, slurry, heterogeneous geological samples and layered materials may require controlled preparation, repeated measurements and representative sampling.
  • Data use: Results support rapid screening, material comparison and workflow decisions; contractual settlement, regulatory reporting or dispute resolution should use agreed laboratory verification procedures.
  • Standard supply: The package can include the analyzer, reference samples, two rechargeable batteries, charging base, power accessories, USB drive, protective film and a moisture- and shock-resistant carrying case.

Safety note: JC-SK1 does not use a radioactive isotope source, but it generates X-rays during operation. Users must follow applicable radiation-safety procedures, operator training requirements and local regulations.

With experience in industrial inspection equipment and customer-specific testing requirements, Laizhou Jincheng supports configuration review for minerals, process materials and quality-control tasks. The JC-SK1 provides a practical way to obtain timely preliminary elemental information while creating a more organized basis for laboratory confirmation and field data management.

Detailed information

Main configuration

1. One main unit of ore analyzer; 2. One standard sample; 3. Two original rechargeable lithium batteries; 4. Charging base and power cord; 5. One 32G USB flash drive; 6. Five sheets of reinforced polypropylene film; 7. One standard portable moisture-proof and shockproof box.

Standard configuration

Ore mode; Optional modes: Alloy analysis mode, Soil analysis mode

Self-diagnostic function

The instrument can automatically diagnose the status of hardware, software, network, battery, etc., and generate logs to quickly troubleshoot problems.

operating system

Windows CE 6.0 operating system, safe and reliable.

Test methods

Employing a basic parameter method that supports empirical coefficient correction, testing can be initiated by a light touch or pull of the trigger, eliminating the need to hold the trigger for an extended period during the test. Continuous trigger-pulling testing can also be configured upon request.

Filter

It is equipped with 8 filters that can automatically switch according to the element being detected.

Excitation source

High-power miniature straight-plate X-ray tube, tungsten target, 4W high-power X-ray tube, tube voltage 50KV, maximum current up to 100 μA; employing KMX technology, it features a higher X-ray count rate and ultra-low electronic noise design. Under normal circumstances, no external standard samples are required before each detection; supports automatic energy calibration and verification.

detector

The detectors used include the American Moxtek Si-PIN detector (6 mm²), the American Amptek Si-PIN detector (25 mm²), and the German KETEK SDD detector.

Detecting elements

It can be used for the detection of metal elements in ores and soil environments, including Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Hf, Ta, W, Hg, Se, Au, Br, Pb, Bi, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Cd, Sn, Sb, Re, Ir, Pt, Hg, Ru, Rh, Pd and other elements.
